Gemesis, a largest distributor of gem-quality, lab-grown diamonds, announces the sale on its site of what it calls the purest and largest Type IIa white diamond currently achieved.
The princess-cut diamond weighs 1.78 carats, is G color, and SI1 clarity. It has been certified by the International Gemological Institute (IGI).
The diamond follows one that Gemesis announced in April of a 1.29-carat, E color, VVS2 clarity, emerald-cut stone which the firm said at the time was the biggest, whitest lab-grown diamond.
Gemesis said in a statement that its inventory includes more than 1,200 VVS2 and VVS1 clarity grades More than 100 are VVS1, as well as a range of E and F color diamonds.
Gemesis also introduced pink lab-grown diamonds on its e-commerce site last month.
