International diamond buyers attending the International Diamond Week (IDW) to be held September 1-4 at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) will have a choice of 325 Israel diamond companies with whom to do business on the IDE trading floor.
"We have finalized the list of participating IDE members," said Moti Besser, the IDE's general manager. "We will, however, continue to register visiting diamond buyers, and since the number of free hotel rooms offered is dwindling, we urge interested buyers to register quickly."
Interest in the summer edition of the International Diamond Week continues to grow. The special invitational video to the event on YouTube has been watched close to 18,000 times.
The diamond sales event is a joint effort of the western world's three largest diamond bourses: the IDE, the Diamond Dealers Club of New York (DDC) and the Antwerp Diamond Bourse. "The numbers of participating members of the DDC and the Antwerp Diamond Bourse continue to grow, and therefore this may well be the largest Diamond Week we have held since the first edition in early 2013," IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer noted.
Despite the IDE taking a two-week summer vacation from August 11 to 25, the IDW organizing committee's core team members will continue to cater to buyers' registration and hotel room booking requests. "All applicants will receive our usual 'VIP service'," Schnitzer added.
The September event will also feature an exclusive polished diamond auction by the Rapaport Group. Meanwhile, negotiations are also taking place with other partners for the organization of additional, value-adding events during the week.
