More than 800 sellers from across the world exhibited at the 41st edition of the Istanbul Jewelry Show (IJS) which ran from October 15 to 18.
The show organizers said the fair is the largest B2B platform for gemstone and jewelry companies wanting to enter markets in Turkey, the E.U., the Middle East, Russia and the CIS Nations, North Africa and the Mediterranean.
According to the trade show organizer, 64 percent of the more than 15,000 buyers (9,577) were from Turkey while overseas buyers totaled 5,489, up 28 percent from 2013.
The top visiting countries were Iran, the Russian Federation, Iraq, Lebanon, Algeria, Greece, Azerbaijan, Italy, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Morocco, Tunisia, Bulgaria and Ukraine.
