Sarine Opening First Allegro Gemstones Service Center in Jaipur

Sarine Technologies Ltd, a worldwide leader in the development, manufacture and sale of precision technology products for the evaluation, planning, processing, finishing, grading and trade of diamonds and gemstones, is opening its first Allegro™ service center providing automated gemstone planning and shaping services.

The service center is located in the city of Jaipur, a worldwide hub for gemstone production, and will be operated by Sarine Group's Indian subsidiary.

The Allegro™ was developed by Galatea Ltd, Sarine's wholly-owned subsidiary and the developer of the Galaxy™ family of inclusion mapping systems. Based on advanced 3D laser mapping technology, Allegro™ provides automated, highly accurate evaluation, planning, and precise shaping of rough gemstones. Allegro™ measures the rough gem and calculates a range of cutting plans based on pre-defined shapes, sizes and parameterized preferences.

Allegro™ can autonomously select the best value plan, or alternatively, planning decisions may be determined manually by an operator. With the capability to produce virtually identical stones at micron-level accuracy, Allegro™ maximizes the value of the rough gems by significantly increasing the quality and yield of the polished gems.

The first Allegro™ service center will open in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, in mid-November, immediately following the upcoming Diwali holiday. Plans are underway to offer Allegro™ services to additional locations in Asia and South America in 2016.

Uzi Levami, Chief Executive Officer of Sarine, stated, "The launch of the Allegro™ marks an exciting milestone for Sarine. The expertise we have accrued these past 30 years has now come full circle, with the application of our technology to gemstones.

"We are delighted to be applying our automated rough planning expertise with advanced 3D shaping optimization for the benefit of the gemstone manufacturing industry. It is fortuitous that the Allegro™ services will commence in Jaipur immediately following the Diwali holiday in India."
