Cherry Blossom Diamond

The cherry blossom diamond was developed by Tokyo Kiho Co Ltd in Tokyo, Japan. It features 87 facets and reveals an image of cherry blossom flowers when seen under a viewer. "The cherry blossom is the national flower of Japan. The flower is special to the Japanese people because the blooming of the flowers signifies the arrival of spring. We therefore decided to develop a special diamond cut representing our admiration for the flower," Mr Fujihashi said. After six years of development, the company launched the cut at the Japan Jewellery Fair in September 2003.
