Remy Martin Cognac Diamond

Promotions linked to natural fancy colors are innovative to say the least. Star Diamonds (Belgium) launched a “diamond cognac” campaign with Remy Martin that featured a mini-decanter of their renowned Louis XIII cognac with a stopper set with diamonds that could be transformed into a pendant. This was sold for 1,000 euros in restaurants worldwide. [The Fleur de Diamant is a “Louis XIII de Remy Martin” Grande Champagne cognac miniature. Made from Baccarat crystal, it is presented in a limited edition numbered box, reminiscent of a jewel in its case. Its “Fleur de Lys” stopper is studded with five diamonds weighing in at 0.4 - 0.5 carats. These precious drops of a radiant amber and the crystal stopper can be removed from the carafe to become a delightfully original pendant necklace.] The Remy Martin Louis XIII Diamond Collection is sold across the USA. Louis XIII is the drink with which Winston Churchill toasted victory in 1951, the same Cognac served to Queen Elizabeth II on her 1957 visit to France. The Precious Regular Decanter crowned with a Diamond: The Louis XIII de Remy Martin regular size Edition Precieuse decanter is offered with the single unique contemporary crystal stopper created especially by the Baccarat designers for the Collection Cognac-Diamant presented in its own personal crystal clear case. Set in the crystal stopper, reflecting the unique amber color of the Louis XIII de Remy Martin Grande Champagne Cognac, is the Cognac-Diamant – a hand cut natural fancy cognac diamond.

Rising Star Cut

The Rising Star was granted a design patent with the U.S. Patent Office in 1992 based on the new technique of achieving its cut; subsequent patents were registered in all diamond polishing countries.. It was the first patented special cut to fully resemble a 5 pointed star. This is a full-depth stone with 56 brilliant facets (a round diamond has 57). The patented cut is sold by millimeter size rather than by carat weight. The diameter is identical to that of a round diamond but weighs less owing to loss in the polishing process. The diamond is usually cut from octahedral rough which is used for cutting round stones.

Rose Cut

The Rose Cut is considered to be a classic special cut that first appeared as early as the16th century. During the Victorian era, rose cut diamonds were very popular booth as center and as side stones. This is a beautiful example of a rose cut stone set in a ring - crafted in platinum, the ring is set with a 1.07 carat Rose cut diamond. The diamond has 40 triangular and trapezoid facets arranged in concentric tiers. Surrounding the center stone is a sparkling halo of eighteen smaller Rose-cut diamonds. Therefore this very special ring was named, "A Bouquet of Roses."

Rounds – Traditional 58 Facets

The round brilliant is the most popular cut – 58 facets including the culet. Facets, on the crown (the top part of the diamond) include 1 table facet, 8 bezel facets, 8 star facets, and 16 upper girdle facets for a total of 33. Facets on the pavilion (the bottom part of the diamond) include 16 lower girdle facets, 8 pavilion main facets, and 1 culet.
